PREVIEW AND SOFTWARE TERMS
Clear terms before launch.
A free evaluation preview is available. No purchase is currently offered. Prices, edition allocations and Founding Creator offers shown on this website remain proposals, not offers capable of acceptance.
Preview software
The downloadable build is pre-release evaluation software supplied without charge. You may install it on Macs you own or control and use it to evaluate Recipe Works Studio. You must not sell, redistribute, reverse engineer or present the application as your own, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
Website and early access
The paid product and licensing system are still being prepared. Joining early access does not reserve a licence, guarantee future access, fix a price or create an obligation to purchase. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Your content
You retain ownership of recipes and media you create. You are responsible for rights and permissions in imported recipes, images, music, fonts and other material. A source URL is not proof of permission.
Data and backups
The preview is local-first and saves work in folders you choose. Keep independent backups of important projects and original media. Do not rely on a preview build as the only copy of valuable work.
Availability
Preview software may contain faults and may change or be withdrawn. Camera, microphone, webpage import and third-party services depend on compatible hardware, permissions and provider availability. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Paid licences — proposed launch terms
When sales open, Paddle is intended to act as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Its Buyer Terms govern the transaction; these software terms describe your use of Recipe Works Studio. Checkout must identify the edition, price including applicable tax, payment interval and licence duration before you pay.
A paid licence is personal and non-transferable and permits use on Macs you own or control. Keep activation credentials private; do not sell, share or sublicense them. Any device or seat allowance will be clearly stated before purchase.
Subscriptions and buy-once licences
A monthly or annual subscription renews at the interval and price confirmed at checkout until cancelled. Manage renewal through the link in your Paddle receipt or Paddle purchase support. Normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. A buy-once licence covers the purchased major software version; it does not promise future major versions, AI services, cloud services or indefinite compatibility with future macOS releases.
Activation, offline access and edition limits
The licensed release requires an internet connection to activate a signed licence. Subscriptions require revalidation within 30 days and have a seven-day grace period after the verified paid-through date; paid access ends at whichever deadline comes first. A failed connection does not reset these deadlines. If subscription verification expires, the app applies Free-edition permissions and preserves local projects and media. A buy-once licence continues working offline for the purchased major version without periodic revalidation. Refunds or revocations are applied when the app next verifies or imports an updated licence.
Free monthly allowances reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month, independently of a paid subscription’s renewal date. Edition comparisons and checkout must state the current feature and usage allocations. A downloadable evaluation preview may have different limits and is labelled separately.
Refunds and consumer protection
See our refund and cancellation page and Paddle’s Refund Policy. Rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming software remain protected. These terms do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Before paid sales begin
Before sales begin, checkout will show the seller, total price and tax, billing period, renewal and cancellation method, compatibility, licence duration and material limitations. Any immediate digital supply will require the confirmations required by applicable law.
